BIM/VDC Coordinator

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

A BIM/VDC Manager position is available with Garney Construction. To be considered for this position, you must have previous BIM/VDC experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Lead model coordination efforts across multiple trades to detect and resolve clashes using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit, aligned with project specifications and BIM standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate model updates.
• Conduct model reviews and coordination meetings, documenting issues and tracking resolutions.
• Implement and enforce company BIM/VDC standards and workflows throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support preconstruction and construction teams by generating visualizations, 4D schedules, and quantity takeoffs from models.
• Provide technical support and training to team members on Revit, AutoCAD, and VDC processes.
• Ensure deliverables meet client requirements and are submitted on schedule.
• Assist in managing cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Stay current with emerging VDC technologies and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 2 years of experience in BIM/VDC coordination within the AEC industry
• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and understanding specifications.
• Must be able to review take-off quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates and review drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions.
