GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
A Staff Accountant position is available at Garney construction in North Kansas City, MO. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records, working with other members of the Garney Corporate Financial Services group and construction operations managers.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounting data
- Post job cost transactions and journal entries
- Review and reconcile accounts
- Perform general cost accounting and other related duties
- Maintain the general ledger
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, and/or similar is preferred but not required
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
