GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

As a Training & Development Coordinator in N. Kansas City, MO at Garney Construction you will support training and development systems and technology, events, and subject matter experts in course design and resource creation, as well as facilitate training, courses, and workshops. You will support the training and development needs for different functional areas within the company.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Update and maintain systems and technology to ensure proper functioning
  • Support implementation of new systems / functionality
  • Populate and organize systems with data
  • Pull reports from systems to provide to stakeholders
  • Coordinate training and development events
  • Coordinate logistics within budget constraints (ex: meals, transportation, hotel, off-site needs, etc.)
  • Sit in the back of the room during the event to keep notes of action items and updates for next time, help with AV, greet/prep upcoming speakers, distribute handouts, etc.
  • For events held at a Garney office: set up and refresh event rooms with appropriate room layout, equipment, and refreshments; reset the room at the end of each day; clean up and return event rooms back to “default” layout following event
  • Attend and provide on-site support for off-site events
  • Assign participant survey, compile feedback, and provide to stakeholders following event
  • Work with subject matter experts to create training outlines, lesson plans, and supporting resources
  • Customize “out-of-the-box” lesson plans (ex: DiSC, The 5 Dysfunctions, Train-the-trainer) to fit stakeholder needs and desired learning outcomes
  • Moderate webinars and other virtual events

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or field-related certification – Required
