GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

As a Recruiting Coordinator in Kansas City, MO for Garney Construction you will have the opportunity to support the recruiting team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Recruiting Coordinator to manage and streamline our onboarding process while supporting the recruiting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with posting job ads, pre-employment paperwork, and handling the employee referral program. The Recruiting Coordinator will play a key role in advising and onboarding new hires, ensuring they understand company policies and job details. Working closely with hiring managers, this role will track the status of onboarding documents and new hire information through our applicant tracking system. Additionally, being successful in this position requires being bilingual in English/Spanish, strong computer skills, and excellent communication skills.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Onboarding New Hires:

  • Creating positions/requisitions and sending applications to candidates.
  • Coordinating with new hires to complete necessary paperwork.
  • Initiating and managing the onboarding process.
  • Confirming and correcting job assignments as needed.

Managing Employee Referrals:

  • Overseeing the employee referral program, including processing payouts.
  • Entering referrals and related documents into the database system.
  • Tracking referral sources and verifying the validity of referrals.

Assisting with New Hire Paperwork:

  • Assigning new hire paperwork to hiring managers for offer details.
  • Assisting hiring managers with I-9 forms and understanding the onboarding system.
  • Gathering payroll information for new hires.

Communicating with Candidates and Project Managers:

  • Sending background checks and new hire paperwork to candidates.
  • Collaborating with project managers to track the progress of paperwork.

Conducting Exit Interviews:

  • Completing weekly reporting and assigned exit interviews.
  • Assigning exit interviews as required.

Handling Special Projects:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of credit card transactions for the team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with new hires, hiring managers, and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in tracking and managing onboarding documents, employee referrals, and special projects.
  • HR Software Knowledge: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR software.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to resolving issues that arise during the onboarding process.
  • Bilingual - English / Spanish
